Daf Hughes – ‘Mind’

UK's late newcomer Daf Hughes debuts with the pensive stunner 'Mind'.

Currently studying at the Royal Northern College, the 21-year-old singer-songwriter Hughes has taken the past year to hone his craft, evident within his first single 'Mind'. Delved within the inner thoughts and experiences of a life of one, Hughes portray the story through the use of heartfelt vocals and minimal yet raw songwriting.

Rooted with the Welsh growth since birth and the experimental sonics of Bon Iver with small tendencies of both James Blake & Antony and the Johnsons, Hughes creates a space of his own sounds yet at the same time productions we all love from classical artists. With the helping hand of both Toby Ollis-Brownstone and Jake Hopkins within the place of their own bedroom, 'Mind' overall encapsulates the feeling we have all felt the past year.

As Daf Hughes quickly makes a late entrance into 2021, 'Mind' will be followed by a year that could be his breakthrough.
