Working through the ranks of Leeds and now based in the bustling atmosphere of London, Eden Rain rises within the crackling yet captivating production as she approaches the "fight or flight" decision of the life we witness in 'Wake Up, You're Stuck'.
Taking the influence of the poetic lyricism of Kae Tempest with the nature of girl in red, Rain's debut draws on a showcase of vulnerability that's familiar with listeners yet pointing towards the uniqueness of her music. Through the piano-led production with the delicacy of her vocals, Rain's approach towards 'Wake Up, You're Stuck' is simplistic at its finest but shows an attitude of not being scared at what life throws at you.
Speaking about her latest release, she said: "For me, this song is the feeling of being eaten alive from the inside out." She added: "I wrote it after waking up from a nightmare when I had fallen asleep with Planet Earth on in the background. To me, the song feels like a fight or flight situation: do I stay being eaten alive or attempt to save myself from all the things I’m running from?”
Whilst being her first offering, Rain shows no lack of pressure and opens a window of honest rawness to alt-pop.
