L Devine: Why she's becoming the pop sensation we've all been waiting for.

Olivia Rebecca Devine, known as singer-songwriter L Devine from Whitley Bay has become a fixture on everyone's "artist to watch" list.

It isn't hard to understand why she's gaining attention across the country with her charismatic personality to music you can bop through self-isolation.
The 22-year-old singer has always been determined to fulfil her dreams come true as she formed her first rock band inspired by The Sex Pistols, The Safety Pinz, at the age of seven.
In an interview with The Line of Best Fit, the singer said, "we had one song called 'Safety Pins Don't Always Clip On', it was really good though".
With not much experience in the music scene, L Devine went and pursued her career by moving to London.
From then she has grown fond of pop music, with releasing early demos into the world and gaining attention from leading labels management. She went on to sign for Warner Bros. Records and released her first project 'Growing Pains' in 2017.
The EP which featured her debut single 'School Girls' about the true life of school proved we were looking at a new star within the industry. The EP was accompanied by a ten-minute visual that was directed by Emil Nava.
With not, the only ability to produce songs but the singer also has a creative flair that gives her fans an experience they crave for.
As 2018 came around the corner, many people believed it was her breakthrough season with the release of her EP 'Peer Pressure'.
In an exclusive interview with Billboard, L Devine said that she's "grateful for the response I got for Peer Pressure, especially because it was something that I had honestly written it".
In the same month of the EP, YouTube announced Devine as one of their Ones to Watch for 2019 and with her excellent project addressing homophobia and being herself – there's no wonder she's had such a breakthrough any artist wish they could.
With gaining exposure from one of the most iconic artists Charli XCX and being called "future of pop music" by the singer in an interview with Billboard, 2019 couldn't come quicker for L Devine.
From performing at The Great Escape Festival to Radio 1 Big Weekend, releasing new music to supporting Lewis Capaldi and now planning to endure on her headline tour this year.
L Devine had one hell of a year last year, and it's no wonder critics are tipping her as a pop sensation.
That year she released 'Naked Alone' alongside INDIA as she branched out from sounds she first showed in 'Growing Pains' and 'Peer Pressure'.
The R&B side of the pop tune proves why everyone enjoys a little bit of sex even if you can't admit it - especially in these unprecedented times.
This was followed by her second single of 2019 'Peachy Keen' as it showed another side of her music, bringing back the 80s.
It hasn't become a big hit unlike 'Naked Alone', but you can't resist enjoying it.
The journey carries on for L Devine as 2020 creeps through the curtains and the artist starts to fulfil her dreams.
With her latest single 'Boring People' bringing something new to the table and proving why she's still the one to watch has led to planned festival slots and tours across the UK.
It was meant to be another rollercoaster ride for the artist, but with the outbreak of coronavirus, it has meant a change to her career.
As fans are being treated to URL Tour across social media to Season 2 'Growing Pains' podcast coming out next week.
It hasn't exactly been quiet for the artist this year and I don't think it's going to stop.
