Mike Taveira ft Allie X - 'Sex for Breakfast'

Rising pop star Mike Taveira teams up with the established Allie X for the raunchy yet glittering wonders of 'Sex for Breakfast'.

Taken from his forthcoming debut EP, Cut Velvet, the Los Angeles based singer-songwriter balances between the vulnerabilities of our sexual identities with the sensibilities of love and lust through the portrayal of his latest work.

Weaved by the emphasis of lyrical wordplay and grooved by funky soundscapes of 70s synths and 80s beats, Taveira works with Allie X to craft a song perfected to tell the story of one specific experience. "Sex for Breakfast’ was one of those lightning-in-a-bottle songs," said Mike. “The idea came to me after an intense morning with this guy I was head over heels for. We were essentially dating but kept pretending it was a fling. We ended up in this almost masochistic cat-and-mouse game, knowing we were so right together but both being too uncomfortable to admit it.”

With an undeniable talent to share, 'Sex for Breakfast' gives glimpses of what's to come but shows Mike Taveira is running away in true pop fashion.
