It might be New Music Friday, but rising Rival Shadwows has kept me rocking for the past week for his alt-emphatic riffs with the flow of serene vocal tones within 'Killing Floor'.
Formerly known as Liam Kohlar, Lancashire native takes on influences of Bombay Bicycle Club and The National to create his own sound that's led to dark candid soundscapes that creep between our ears.
Speaking about his latest release, Liam adds: "The song follows a theme prevalent in a lot of my songwriting - wrestling back control in the face of anxiety, and often my own madness. It also tells of the effects that battle has on somebody close to you too."
With his second release of 2021 being an exception of blissful alt-rock, Rival Shadows is slowly climbing up the ladder and proving his worth.
