Plymouth newcomers The Native endure the world of heartstrings within their first offering of 2021 as they overcome love throughout 'Lost On You'.
Breaking onto the scene for their take on the struggles we possess, the west-country five-piece follow through with a raw slow-burner that captures the heart of our feelings between the throbbing drums and eased guitar lines. As we're weaved through a journey that's depicted by their own personal experiences, the euphoric vocals the lead singer holds bring together a nostalgic blend to a track that becomes on repeat.
Paired with a home-styled music video, the rising band show promising attributes with the space of growth. Speaking about their latest release, the band said:" 'Lost On You' is about holding out for a person who doesn’t like you back, knowing they’ll never feel the same." They added: “Due to ever-changing restrictions, we had to record at a few different locations, but it all came together in the end and, we made a record we’re all proud of”.
As they continue to thread through the lyrical melancholy of each track, The Native soaring approach to indie-pop with the authentic touch proves why they are on the list of many as one to watch.
