We are back again with some of our favourite hits of the week, yes, we are a day late, but we have some great picks; ranging from intoxicating pop tunes and anthemic indie tracks.
Boy Pablo - Leave Me Alone
Norweigian bedroom pop star Boy Pablo is back with his new single 'Leave Me Alone' that premiered as Annie Mac's Hottest Record in The World on BBC Radio 1.
Delving into his kids' memories, Boy Pablo Nicolas Muńoz has found himself creating DIY, alternative music through romantic indie-pop, which infused with sun-kissed 60s melodies and inspirations from Muńoz's Latin -American background.
From his breakout EP 'Soy Pablo' to now his hugely-anticipated debut album 'Wachito Rico' (set for October 23rd release); Boy Pablo isn't just your typical internet poster child anymore.
Golden Vessel - that's us (feat. The Nicholas & Rei So La)
Golden Vessel has teamed up with two of his good friends that has created a warm alt/pop offering that is sure to hit a few of the sweet spots.
Creating a journey of short and intense bursts of time that you get to spend with friend and family member that you don't get to see very often. Golden Vessel explains: "I made 'That’s Us' with my friend Rutger (The Nicholas) in Amsterdam. We had four days together, and this was the second song we made. It came together very easily - we started with an acoustic guitar recorded into a handheld tape recorder and built the song around that. I knew I wanted to have a third person to contribute a verse and the obvious choice was Rei So La (who I'm in a band called Lucky Idiot). I sent him the idea one night and by 10 am the next morning I had his verse recorded through an apple earphone microphone (which we used partially in the final version of the song".
As the months fly by and Golden Vessel has offered a range of singles, his sophomore album 'colt' is on its way.
